Not a Holiday.
Just Better.

These tours are built around participation, not observation. Working alongside local coaches and communities, participants contribute to existing programmes that continue long after you leave.

Why join a Tag Rugby Trust tour

On tour, you’ll contribute to real

work through sport.

Tours are built around participation, not observation. You’ll work alongside local coaches and communities, contributing to programmes already in place and building relationships that extend beyond the pitch.

Time is shared between schools, community sessions and camp life — with space to reflect, learn and understand how sport is used as a tool for education, leadership and connection.

Tours run between Easter and October, with options to join scheduled groups or bring your own group of eight or more. Each tour is different, shaped by the people involved and the communities it supports.

From preparation through to on-the-ground support, you’ll be guided by teams who know the work, respect the context, and remain connected long after a tour ends.

Your Journey in Zimbabwe

On a Tag Rugby Trust tour, participation is structured around programme phases — from coaching tag rugby in schools to supporting community-led projects, conservation work and sustainable living at our off-grid base near Victoria Falls. Each phase offers a different way to contribute and understand how sport connects education, community and long-term impact.

Sizinda Base Camp

Arrival & Orientation

Touch down in Victoria Falls and head to Sizinda Camp — your off-grid base near Zambezi National Park. You’ll settle in, meet your team, and run through key briefings covering safety, culture, and the week ahead.

Camp Life

Sizinda Camp is the base that supports the tour — a shared space for rest, preparation and reflection. Expect solar power, communal meals, firepit evenings, and time to connect as a team between days on the ground.

Getting Ready

Before heading into schools or community sites, you’ll prepare coaching kit, review schedules, and learn about the people and places you’ll be working with. The focus is on readiness, openness, and engaging respectfully with the work ahead.

TRT Adult & Alumni Tour

The September 2026 Impact Tour is open to adults and alumni looking to reconnect with Tag Rugby Trust’s work, or to engage with it for the first time. The tour is designed for those who want to contribute meaningfully, while allowing space to experience Zimbabwe at a considered pace.

Time is spent at Sizinda Camp supporting tag rugby sessions, mentoring within schools, and contributing to community-led initiatives that form part of TRT’s long-term work in the region. Activities vary depending on local priorities, but are always delivered alongside existing partners and programmes.

Beyond programme time, the tour includes opportunities to learn more about the local area — including conservation partners and the Victoria Falls region — with unstructured time built in for rest, reflection and exploration.
